Funchal City Council has signed protocols with the aim of ensuring benefits for its workers and their immediate families, totalling 4,000 people, namely in the areas of insurance, home support, culture, sports and leisure, education and training, housing and maintenance, banking institutions, opticians, health, telecommunications, travel, commerce and services, catering, among others.
This is a commitment by the Municipality of Funchal, as part of its active policy of managing and valuing its human resources, and the vice-president of the municipality emphasised, on this occasion, the interest shown by companies in offering a range of discounts on a wide variety of services, thus creating a base of new clients.
Cristina Pedra, vice-president of the municipality, pointed out that the municipality does not have the power to set the salaries of its employees, which are set by the State Budget, but has created more rewarding financial conditions for employees and the people who make up their families.
